STARFLEET (The International Star Trek Fan Association, Inc. ©1974-2025) has members in Region One. states (Kentucky, Indiana, North Carolina, Ohio, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, and West Virginia).
I help recruit new members.
I also help retain current members.
Leading by example is my main strategy in this organization.
I do science fiction conventions, like RavenCon, to find potential members. The Staff of RavenCon includes a number of people who were members of STARFLEET.
I do community fundraising for the LLS, like this event at IHOP.
I also donated can goods for a hurricane relief food drive for North Carolina. https://www.vpm.org/news/2024-10-04/virginia-volunteers-helene-relief-supplies-petersburg
This lets people in the community know that some science fiction fans are supporting a communities in need.
I report directly to the Director of Recruitment.
